Book with David

David was introduced to massage therapy during high school. He was struggling with severe back and neck pain while participating in marching band. Exhausting all other options he found massage therapy as the most effective solution to his problems. In 2014 he became licensed and started his massage career. David has gained exceptional knowledge and techniques from modalities including; ART, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial release, IASTM, and PNF. He has a genuine desire to help clients and act as a vessel for healing. Each session with David is approached holistically and is tailored to the individual client’s goals.
How long have you been a licensed massage therapist?

I’ve been licensed since June of 2014.

How many hours of training do you have?

500 hours from my licensing program and 200 from CEU’s which is continuing to increase the more I learn.

Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?

I chose Massage Therapy because of how powerful of a healing tool it can be. My life was transformed once I began receiving bodywork.

Where did you go to school for massage?

I went to Phoenix School of Holistic Health and Massage in Houston, TX.

How do you describe your massage/work to others?

My work focuses on finding the root cause of pain and dysfunction. Typically that stems from a postural imbalance or compensatory movement pattern. I integrate different modalities into my sessions to determine which approach works best for that individual client.

What are some examples of Continuing Education you are interested in and why?

Lately I’ve been pursuing Healing Touch. It’s a heart-centered bio-field therapy aimed to clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields. It resonates with me because resolving issues on the physical level is sometimes not enough for long lasting healing.

How has receiving massage affected you personally?

Bodywork transformed my life. It unlocked a deep desire to help heal others and resolve chronic pains.

What do you do to stay healthy?

Eat clean and healthy foods. Hiking, swimming and meditation have been my go-to for self-care.

What do you like about working at Myo Massage?

I like Myo because I’m surrounded by seasoned LMT’s who have a wealth of experience and take their work seriously. Everyone truly loves what they do here and that feeling is noticeable as soon as you walk in the door.
