Book with Heather

Heather has always been drawn to helping others and fulfills that through the healing power of physical touch. The intention in her touch can be felt from the first stroke throughout to the last. She will sink deep into your areas of tension and not let up until they have released, bordering on the line of “that good pain”. You will leave your session feeling anew and rejuvenated with a feeling of connection after having experienced Heather’s energy.
How long have you been a licensed massage therapist?

2 years

How many hours of training do you have?

550 hours

Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?

I have an innate desire to help others and have always felt a connection through touch. Massaging came naturally and after years working in customer service going above and beyond for others it was an easy transition to move into a field where I can continue to help people but with a longer lasting effect.

Where did you go to school for massage?

Lauterstein-Conway in Austin, TX

How do you describe your massage/work to others?

Intuitive and caring touch with informative knowledge passed onto the client.

What are some examples of Continuing Education you are interested in and why?

Thai massage – I like the idea of using more of my body to affect the client in different ways. Sports massage – I’d like to be able to work on athletes to get their bodies ready for activities and aid in recovery.

What do you do to stay healthy?

I do weight training 3-5days a week, ride my bicycle as my form of transportation, and run a few days a week.

How has receiving massage affected you personally?

It has helped to keep me grounded and to feel more connected to my body.

What do you like about working at Myo Massage?

The willingness by the owners to teach and expand the knowledge of their therapists.
