Vivian Best is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner(CM). The Feldenkrais Method has given her relief from pain, and has helped her to empower others to take better care of themselves. She teaches self-aware self-care, and her compassionate guidance has helped instill a sense of pleasure in movement, and brought vitality and ease to her clients.

Vivian has explored many movement traditions from yoga and ballet, to West African, modern, flamenco, partner dancing and Pilates. She was a gifted educator in Honolulu and has also taught classes for children and adults in creative arts, ecoliteracy, and girl’s empowerment. Her interests in movement, teaching, and helping others brought her to study the Feldenkrais Method and she has continued to grow and develop as a Feldenkrais Teacher, tutor, and organizer for events that connect and empower others through conversation and movement.

She has received multiple awards for her community work and gave a TedX talk in 2011. She was one of the co-founders of Piko Pals, a program that connects and empowers new parents of babies age 0-4 months to build their own village through facilitated discussions in an emotionally and intellectually safe environment. As a WomanSpeak Circle Leader and Trainer, she supports women to create connections, share resources, and take initiative in their lives by helping them to bring their voices to what truly matters through embodied speaking practices that instill a sense of internal safety and authentic power.

In Austin, she has enjoyed volunteering to support silent retreats, Girl Scouts, Math Pentathlon events, and other educational outreach efforts in public schools. Vivian loves sharing about the Feldenkrais Method and believes it can inspire positive change, building awareness and hope for inspired action!
