Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue massage uses slow, sustained pressure focusing on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue (fascia) to help relieve chronic tension. Sessions usually focus on one or more specific area(s) without much full-body integration. The effects tend to be longer lasting and more therapeutic than with a relaxation massage. Deep Tissue should not be confused with deep pressure massage, which incorporates strong pressure throughout a full body session, but is not designed to address a specific complaint. If you would like a deep pressure massage, we recommend The Myo; ask your therapist to customize your session.
