Pilates and Fitness

In Private Pilates and Fitness sessions, we work with you to develop a fitness program tailored specifically to your body’s needs and progress it based on your individual goals, giving you appropriate modifications and feedback on your form. Pilates is an choice method of cross training for runners, bikers, dancers, climbers, and athletes as it engages core muscle groups for improved stability and strengthens muscles through their full range of motion for greater mobility. Depending on your situation, your teacher may also incorporate other methodologies stemming from therapeutic exercise, somatic movement, dance, and yoga.

About Errin:

Certified through Peak Pilates, Errin has over a decade of experience teaching group, duet, and private Pilates sessions on mat, Reformer, Cadillac, and Wunda Chair. Through her decades long dance education, she has studied many movement modalities and draws on these influences to create a unique fitness experience for each individual.

In addition to Pilates, Errin also offers Pelvic Floor physical therapy and Birth Support services both during and after pregnancy. Working alongside the physical therapy approach, Pilates and therapeutic exercise are great tools for maintaining pelvic health, managing symptoms, and building strength and endurance to return to the activities that you enjoy.

About Emily:

Emily is a professional dance artist, contemporary dance instructor and fitness instructor. She started her Pilates journey while a dance major at the University of Texas at Austin. She quickly gained interest in all that Pilates has to offer for the body, mind and soul. The tools she has obtained through her fitness journey in Pilates, Barre and other modes of fitness have greatly supported her movement practice and brought more ease and strength to her dance training. Her experience as a dancer also influences her style of teaching, allowing a sense of organic flow and pace. She has taught at a variety of studios in Austin and abroad in Australia.
Emily holds a BA in dance from the University of Texas at Austin, is a fully certified STOTT Pilates instructor, a dance artist and collaborator with many Austin artists. She is a former company member with Blue Lapis Light and has trained both locally and internationally and continues to find inspiration from all of her movement experiences as a dancer, teacher and student.

In addition to private sessions, Emily teaches Pilates Fit classes on our regular schedule.
