From classical musician and teacher to LMT, Grace has found her calling in massage therapy, her therapeutic work that helps people on a structural level. Having lived with chronic pain in her own life, her work is caring, intentional, and client-focused, with every session being tailored to fit their unique needs. She values clear communication, therapeutic touch, and helping her clients feel like their best selves.
Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her cats, singing both operatic arias and Broadway ballads at an obnoxiously loud volume while cooking, and reading the latest fantasy novels (while procrastinating on writing her own). Oh, and staying hydrated. (Of course.)
How long have you been a licensed massage therapist?

I have been licensed since 2018.

How many hours of training do you have?

500+

Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?

Helping people has always been at the center of my work. During my massage therapy internship, I witnessed how deeply impactful hands-on care could be when I helped a client regain full shoulder mobility after being locked in pain. Seeing that kind of change in such a short time confirmed that this work mattered to me, and it continues to motivate my dedication to learning and providing thoughtful, therapeutic care.

Where did you go to school for massage?

Lauterstein-Conway Massage School & Clinic

How do you describe your massage/work to others?

In short? I’m the “fix-it” girl. My work is assessment-based, therapeutic work, focused on addressing chronic pains, injuries, and athletic needs. I pride myself in staying educated on new techniques in my field so that I can better help people live their best level of wellness. In other words, I have a friendly elbow, and I’ll find all the knots you don’t know you have!

What are some examples of Continuing Education you are interested in and why?

I am most interested in orthopedic massage work, as well as myofascial release, and injury-focused techniques to continue refining my skillset for the betterment of my clients. I choose my CE classes intentionally and with them in mind to stay well-rounded and able to tackle any concerns that they may come to me with.

How has receiving massage affected you personally?

As someone with scoliosis and my own past sports injuries, receiving massage has helped me maintain body awareness and a better understanding of how consistent care can support living with less pain. That perspective shapes how I approach each session in managing the pain and discomfort of my clients, and ultimately how I can improve their daily lives.

What do you do to stay healthy?

I stay active, hydrated, and practice intentional mindfulness. I do believe that a healthy mindset leads to a healthy body.

What do you like about working at Myo Massage?

I find that Myo Massage’s approach towards both their clients and LMTs alike is reflected in the day-to-day running of the studio. From the variety of massage techniques and skills they dedicate to having in-house for their clientele, to the collaborative and supportive environment given to their massage therapists, Myo has proven to me that they care about the well-being of everyone in their path.
