Pilates on the Wall: Full Body
Pilates Mat meets the Wall! This full body, all levels class is structured to improve stability, coordination, and body awareness, leaving you feeling taller and more centered. Utilizing props, light weights, and resistance bands, we will increase muscle tone, range of motion and improve spinal alignment. Adding the yoga wall allows us to anchor bands and work with core stabilization in a unique way compared to other equipment classes.
What is Pilates?
Pilates incorporates elements of dance, yoga, gymnastics, and boxing. As compared to heavy weight training, it works in a broader range of motion with submaximal loads, balancing the work between fast and slow twitch muscles, leading to gains in strength and stability with lower risks of injury or overtraining. This is part of why Pilates leaves you feeling lengthened rather than compressed.
