Wendy is a graduate of Chapman University of Orange, CA with a degree in Business Management. She also is a graduate of the Swedish and Clinical massage therapy program at Texas Healing Arts Institute in Austin, TX. Wendy has achieved certifications and advanced training in Lymphatic Drainage and Kinesio ® Taping. She also obtained certifications in Thai Traditional massage, Advanced Thai Therapeutic massage, and Thai foot massage from the Wat Pho Thai Traditional Massage School and temple in Bangkok, Thailand. Her goal is to provide high quality therapeutic massages. Her work is intentional, intuitive and specific. Before changing to this service career, she was an accomplished corporate Sales and Marketing professional.

I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2006.

Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?
Massage therapy has been a benefit on the receiving side and can leave you feeling fabulous. It is the most natural and healing method being both physiologically and psychologically potent. Massage therapy is a profession I am extremely passionate and enthusiastic about because it works.

How do you describe your massage/work to others?
I utilize an integrative approach in addressing specific issues that the body indicates are present. Each session is tailored to the individual’s unique needs.
What are some examples of Continuing Education you are interested in and why?
I am interested in continuing to pursue further in-depth studies in lymphatic drainage therapy. It is such a powerful and yet gentle modality. I feel I deeply resonate with the effects lymphatic drainage therapy provides.
How has receiving massage affected you personally?
When I get a good massage I feel transformed. For days I feel better, I sleep better, and I am happy. It’s like my world has been re-focused and all the colors are brighter.
What do you do to stay healthy?
I always look to maintain a positive attitude, keep moving, exercise, eat well and get good sleep rest. Also, daily loving hugs to my and from my pets.
What do you like about working at Myo Massage?
I get to work with happy, good, and kind, people all day long.
