Melinda Barsales
Melinda has been practicing yoga for almost 20 years and teaching for five. Her background is in Vinyasa Krama Yoga as taught by her teacher Srivatsa Ramaswami, the longtime student of the revered teacher of teachers Sri T. Krishnamacharya. She received her 200 hour certification from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in the summer of 2013. A year later she left her job as a legal editor for the State of Texas and has been teaching yoga ever since. In the fall of 2015 she received certification in Restorative Therapeutic Yoga from Jillian Pransky at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Wellness in Stockbridge, MA.
In her class you will practice conscious relaxation in long-held, supported poses to ease and calm the nervous system, softening into areas of habitual holding and tension, and building awareness around what it means to feel comfortable and relaxed in the body and mind.
