Her work is holistic, intentional, and caring.  Originally studying art, it was her love of figurative drawing that initially lead to her pursuit of a career in bodywork. Kate feels truly fortunate to be able to do this work and help her clients along on their path to health and healing.
How long have you been a licensed massage therapist?

12 years on and off, I took a sabbatical while raising my children and attend to other family obligations. I have been back practicing for about a year and a half now.

How many hours of training do you have?

500 from my original schooling and 100+ since.

Why did you choose massage therapy as your career?

I choose massage therapy as my career because it is very rewarding work, I love being able to help people in this way. I also love that there always, always more to learn! It is fascinating and amazing how we humans work!

Where did you go to school for massage?

I went to the American Institute of Allied Health

How do you describe your massage/work to others?

My work as a therapist is holistic, intuitive, and nurturing. I have been trained mainly in relaxation styles, however I am currently working on adding more clinical and precise elements to my work.

What are some examples of Continuing Education you are interested in and why?

I am interested in lymphatic drainage, pain management, and structural bodywork because I know these areas can benefit my clients. I want people to be able to both feel better and to move with more freedom.

What do you do to stay healthy?

I stay healthy with yoga, walking, strength training, staying hydrated, and eating clean most of the time.
